Baked beans on Weetabix? This hilarious SoMe post is just what we need right now

On Tuesday the cereal firm posted a serving suggestion that is difficult to swallow. The post on Twitter is clearly an attempt to garner some attention on social media with the aim to make Twitter chew over the rights and wrongs of serving baked beans on Weetabix – “Why should bread have all the fun?”.
The best, and most hilarious, part of this is the banter from the corporate twitter accounts in response to the Weetabix tweet. Among others, Domino’s got in with their most controversial pizza topping:
Domino’s: Pineapple on pizza is the most controversial food ever.
Weetabix: Hold my spoon.
The NHS got involved and suggested that the serving suggestion was worthy of a health warning. Other fantastic responses came from The Food Standards Agency, Lidl, Yorkshire Tea, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
I don’t know about you but this whole thing is just what we needed during these very difficult times.
Oh, and by the way, pineapple has no business being on top of a pizza…
